Sand and stone shattered, pulverized by the shock waves of the clash as Lorne swung his iron fists, holding the two enormous Shotels firmly at bay.
"Get down!"
Lorne growled, the muscles in his right leg tightening like twisted steel cables. He stomped through the rock beneath him, forcing Jack's massive body downward.
Veins bulged on Jack's arms, and his eyes beneath his mask filled with disbelief. He had never imagined that a Marine rear admiral could possess such strength.
"Impossible!"
Jack gritted his teeth, a beastlike growl rising from his throat.
"You're just a Marine rear admiral. How can you have this kind of strength?"
Lorne's expression was cold as he jolted both fists outward, knocking the two massive blades aside.
"So this is all an All-Star's strength amounts to."
Lorne spoke flatly.
Jack staggered back three steps, his massive body leaving three deep craters in the beach.
"Don't underestimate me, brat!"
Jack flew into a rage, his twin blades weaving two pale curtains of light through the air, shredding even the sea breeze blowing toward him.
Lorne said nothing. He instantly activated Soru, his figure becoming a blurred white streak.
Jack's vision blurred for an instant, and Lorne had already vanished from sight.
"So fast!"
Jack was startled, his beastlike instincts driving him to snap both blades up in front of his chest.

Lorne appeared in front of Jack, his right fist slamming into the flat of a Shotel. Pitch-black Armament Haki erupted in dazzling sparks at the point of impact.
Lorne gave a low shout, power pouring from his fist like an erupting volcano.
Jack felt an overwhelming force surge through the blade, shaking the bones in both his arms until they creaked.
Damn it, how is this brat's Armament Haki so hard?
