"Don't go over there! Run!"
"He's insane! This guy isn't human!"
The pirates began scattering in every direction.
Some jumped into the sea, others retreated into the cabins, but Lorne was far faster than they were.
"Soru."
Lorne's figure flickered across the deck.
Every time he appeared, another head was crushed in his iron grip.
Blood splattered across the entire deck, bodies lay strewn everywhere, and the air reeked of iron.
In less than thirty seconds, every pirate aboard the first ship had fallen silent.
It was not the silence of surrender, but the silence of death.
"The captain's dead! They're all dead!"
The pirates aboard the second ship saw what had happened through the thick smoke, and some collapsed on the spot.
Lorne leaped from the bow of the first ship and landed on the second ship's yardarm, looking down.
On the deck, a dozen or so pirates held blades against the necks of several bound Alabasta sailors.
"D-don't come any closer!"
A heavily bearded pirate spoke in a trembling voice, his blade pressed against a hostage's throat.
"Take another step, and I'll kill these people!"
Lorne looked down at him.
"You think your hand is faster than my feet?"
Even as he finished speaking, Lorne was already moving.
"Soru."
He vanished from the yardarm and appeared before the bearded pirate an instant later.
His right hand closed around the wrist holding the blade and bent it lightly. The sound of snapping bone made everyone's scalp prickle.
"Aaaah!"
Lorne clamped his other hand over the crown of the bearded pirate's head.
"You said you were going to kill someone?"
"No, I was wrong, I-"
Crack.
His skull shattered.
His words cut off abruptly.
Seeing this, the other pirates holding hostages dropped their blades with a clatter.
Some wet themselves
