"It's not over yet."
As soon as he spoke, the two halves of Mahito's body began to writhe.
Like two living lumps of modeling clay, they moved slowly but steadily toward each other.
In just two seconds, the two halves merged back into one.
Mahito rolled his neck with a soft crack, then spread his mouth into an excited grin.
"Heeheehee!! Pretty good~" He clapped as though watching a spectacular performance.
"That move was so cool! The speed, the power, the timing-all perfect! Any other cursed spirit would probably be dead by now, right?"
He paused, his smile deepening.
"But..."
Mahito spread his arms and leaned back slightly, striking a pose that said, "Come and kill me."
"That won't hurt me~"
His voice carried undisguised mockery.
"The soul is the essence of life. The body? Cursed energy? Those are nothing more than the soul's 'vessel' and 'fuel.'"
Mahito raised a hand, spread his fingers, then slowly clenched them into a fist.
"As long as the soul remains intact, the body can reassemble instantly, no matter how badly it's destroyed.
Ordinary attacks are like tickling to me-no, they don't even count as tickling, because they can't 'touch' me at all."
He looked at Madara and tilted his head.
"So, how are you going to 'kill' me, Madara Uchiha?"
Madara understood this perfectly.
In the story, Mahito's ability was indeed extremely troublesome.
His ability to touch and alter the shape of souls directly meant ordinary attacks were ineffective against him.
Unless the attack itself could reach the level of the "soul," he could recover instantly, no matter how much his body was destroyed.
The current Madara was only a Wood Release clone, though he had inherited the original's combat experience and skills.
But he could not bring out the full cursed technique
