The Hashira's hellish special training had reached its third day.
Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters welcomed a group of special guests.
Leading them was the temperamental, easily angered genius swordsmith who wore a Hyottoko Mask-Hotaru Haganezuka.
Behind him followed more than a dozen swordsmiths, also wearing masks. Each carefully cradled a component wrapped in the finest silk.
Their expressions held unprecedented reverence and fervor, as though they were escorting a sacred offering.
The procession passed through the sparring Corps members and went straight to Sasuke, who was overseeing the training.
"Huff... huff... Lord Uesugi!"
Hotaru Haganezuka removed his mask, revealing a face flushed with excitement. Panting heavily, he raised a long, narrow paulownia wood box high above his head.
"It's finished! The blade you requested-our entire village spent seven days and seven nights on it, and finally... finally, we've finished forging it!"
Sasuke stopped the training, and the Hashira gathered around curiously.
They had all heard that, after the battle at Swordsmith Village, Sasuke had placed a special order with the village.
He had requested a blade that could perfectly conduct his violent lightning power. To that end, he had even provided a vial of his own blood so the swordsmiths could study the properties of the energy within his body.
Sasuke took the box. It felt somewhat heavier in his hands than an ordinary Nichirin Blade.
He opened the lid.
A deep, dark purple greeted everyone's eyes.
It was a blade slightly shorter than a standard katana, closer to a wakizashi in length. Its blade was perfectly straight, without any curvature, and dark purple throughout, like a thundercloud.
Most unusual were the naturally formed silver patterns covering the blade, resembling bolts of lightning.
They had not been engraved afterward. They were patterns inherent in the ore itself, a miracle finally
