A member of the Kakushi Corps, dressed in a black uniform with a cloth wrapped around his head, was carefully sweeping up fallen leaves with a large broom. He did not seem to notice Rokuya and Tanjiro sitting in the corner, and hummed an off-key tune as he swept.
Tanjiro's ears twitched. He smelled the scent peculiar to an ordinary person on this Kakushi Corps member, a little weary but grounded. He stood up, wanting to go over to greet him and ask a few questions while he was at it.
"Um... excuse me. Sorry to bother you." Tanjiro walked over to the Kakushi Corps member and spoke politely.
"Ah! Yes!" The Kakushi Corps member jumped and spun around, nearly dropping the broom in his hands. When he saw that it was Tanjiro, and spotted Rokuya sitting behind him, his entire body instantly stiffened. He stammered, "L-Lord Kai Hashira! And... Lord Tanjiro!"
