Kinshiki's swollen form bore down on Shengu Xuan. Every step of his three-meter-tall body cracked the lunar surface beneath him. His fists hammered down in alternation so fast that even their afterimages were impossible to make out, each punch's shock wave grinding the rubble within a hundred meters to dust.
Momoshiki launched two dark red energy spheres from the front, while Urashiki's purple Rinnegan fired a spatial cutting line diagonally down from above. The attacks from all three directions converged on the same point.
The explosions on the lunar surface sent thunderous, muffled vibrations through the rock. Craters overlapped craters, and the entire area's terrain had been battered beyond recognition.
Kinshiki's fist stopped in midair.
His knuckles were less than three centimeters from Shengu Xuan's cheek, but those final three centimeters seemed to hold an invisible wall. No matter how much force he exerted, he could not advance another fraction.
"Did you think hitting me enough times would let you break through?"
Shengu Xuan's voice came from behind the gaps in Kinshiki's fist, his tone as casual as chatting with a neighbor.
The black markings on Kinshiki's skin spread to their limit. His vein-bulging arms pressed against that invisible barrier like two iron pillars, and his knees gouged two deep furrows into the lunar surface.
"Break."
Shengu Xuan pulled one finger from his pocket and flicked the knuckle of Kinshiki's left fist.
Kinshiki flew backward, plowing a two-hundred-meter trench through the lunar surface before his body embedded itself in the rock wall of a distant crater. Rubble cascaded down from above, burying most of him.
Momoshiki's two energy spheres struck Shengu Xuan just then, their dark red light engulfing his position.
"He took the hit?" Momoshiki had not yet had time to breathe a sigh of relief.
