The Going Merry tumbled and pitched through the violent updraft like a leaf caught in a gale, its hull groaning under the strain. On deck, the Straw Hat Pirates' cries and screams mingled with a certain long-nosed sniper's fervent praise of the Going Merry and anxious shouts about how much its hull could withstand, forming a chaotic symphony in the sky.
"Aaaaaah! We're dead, we're dead, we're dead! The ship's going to fall apart!" Usopp clung desperately to the mainmast, tears and snot flying.
"Idiot! Hold on! Don't let go!" Zoro struggled to steady himself while bellowing at Luffy. Unfortunately, his captain was excitedly hanging off the bow, stretching his rubber arms to grab Sky Fish flashing past, utterly unconcerned about whether the ship would fall apart.
"Sky Island! There really is a Sky Island! We're so high up! This is so much fun! Hahahaha!" Luffy's signature laughter rang especially loudly through the howling wind.
"Idiot captain! Is this any time to laugh? Miss Nami! Robin! Grab me!" Though Sanji was equally unsteady on his feet, he still tried to display his chivalry on the violently swaying deck, only to receive a punch to the head from Nami.
"Everyone, grab something secure! Chopper! Get inside the cabin!" Their navigator displayed astonishing composure. Though her face was somewhat pale, she was still doing her best to judge their direction and the air currents.
Nico Robin crossed her hands before her chest and activated her Flower-Flower Fruit ability, "growing" numerous arms along the ship's rails to grip fixed objects and keep her balance.
