On the streets of Water 7, police sirens mingled with battle cries.
"Straw Hat Luffy is just ahead! Get him!"
Rifle-wielding soldiers from the Marine Branch poured out of an alley, followed by a crowd of citizens carrying clubs-last night, fires had broken out in succession at the Galley-La Company president's residence and Franky's House. Cipher Pol No. 9 had already pinned every crime on the Straw Hat Pirates. Overnight, these visiting pirates had become the enemies of all Water 7.
"Gum-Gum Pistol!"
Luffy roared, his arm stretching in an instant to sweep away the soldiers at the front. He had no intention of lingering to fight, however, and turned to sprint deeper into the alley. Zoro slashed apart the stray bullets flying toward them, while Sanji kicked away the citizens blocking their path. Flanking Luffy, the two forced an opening through the encirclement.
"Luffy! Calm down first!" Zoro shattered a nearby wooden crate with a slash, blocking the pursuers behind them, and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Running around like headless chickens won't help us find Robin!"
"I don't care! I'm going to find her!" Luffy's eyes were red, and his steps never faltered. "Robin wouldn't leave us for no reason! Something must have happened to her! I want to ask her myself!"
Nami followed at the rear with Chopper in her arms. Seeing the hostile looks from the citizens lining the streets, she felt anxious and panicked. First Usopp had broken with them and left last night, then Robin had left a farewell letter and disappeared without a word. Overnight, their perfectly good crew had fallen apart. Now they were wanted throughout Water 7, without even a place to stay.
