At breakfast the next day.
While the others ate breakfast, Ron went to collect that day's Daily Prophet first.
He had only meant to read the Quidditch section, one of his few remaining pleasures.
Since Harry had become captain, he had also joined the Quidditch team as he had hoped, becoming its Keeper.
But training time had grown increasingly tight that term.
Yet when his fingertips reached the corner of page three, he suddenly stopped.
"Harry."
Harry was putting a fried egg between slices of bread.
He glanced up.
Ron pushed the newspaper over.
"Look at this."
Hermione had already leaned over from the other side.
Her eyes swept over the small headline.
"Appendix Three of June Job Certification Sparks Administrative Ethics Dispute."
The headline was tiny.
So tiny it was almost squeezed flat by a Flying Broomstick advertisement beside it.
Ron read it aloud in a low voice.
"Ministry of Magic employees support wartime job certification."
"However, multiple signed submissions question whether Hogwarts' trial practices should be applied directly to adults."
His eyes widened as he reached that point.
"Multiple submissions call for a review of the school ranking and remedial training systems led by Madam Umbridge."
Harry's fork stopped in midair.
Ginny reached over from beside him and snatched the newspaper.
"There's more."
She read more slowly.
"The Ministry of Magic Secretariat has received the relevant feedback."
Ron froze for two seconds.
Then he gave a laugh.
It was not loud, but it pushed back a little of the weight pressing against his chest.
"So we're not the only ones who think she's gone mad."
Hermione did not laugh, though.
She took the newspaper back and read it again.
"It's not madness."
"Adults are starting to reject her whole system."
Ron frowned.
"What's the difference?"
"A big one."
