The table was covered with the fruits of their work.
Rowle mocked Travers in his gruff voice.
"You even get basic Muggle vocabulary wrong."
Travers sneered.
"At least I know not to touch electrical switches with wet hands."
Lucius reminded them from the side, "Actually, you shouldn't touch them with dry hands either."
Both men turned to glare at him. Lucius shrugged.
Voldemort walked in, and Old Nott quietly introduced their work.
"Twelve spell rifles, two curse cannons. Three sets of Night Veil Spikes, six Anti-Anti-Magic Rune Discs."
Voldemort picked up a thickened short wand. It had a stock, a trigger, and a wand core, with rune channels extending from the wooden grip all the way to the metal barrel.
Travers swallowed.
"A less skilled wizard only needs to feed in a little magic, and the rune channels will fire the preloaded spell."
"The drawback is the limited variety of spells they can fire. At present, each type of gun can only fire one kind of dark magic."
Voldemort nodded and set the rifle down.
Then he looked at a short, thick iron cannon.
The inner wall of its barrel was covered in black runes, which slowly writhed beneath the light.
Old Nott explained.
"The curse cannon fires compressed clusters of jinxes, which can cause short-term mental contamination upon impact."
Voldemort raised his hand. A faint red-black glow welled up deep inside the barrel, and Travers instinctively edged backward.
Voldemort said coldly, "Stay where you are."
Travers froze in place. Fortunately, Voldemort did not unleash the cannon's power, allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief.
Lucius personally introduced the third group.
"Night Veil Spikes can induce fear, fatigue, disorientation, and delayed judgment."
