"I've finally caught you!"
She shrieked with excitement, her sharp gaze sweeping downward as she tried to find the figure for Dumbledore's embezzlement.
The first line: purchase of Ice Mice sweets, thirty thousand Galleons.
The smile on Umbridge's face instantly froze.
Ice Mice?
Why was there such an absurd expenditure on sweets among Hogwarts' extreme practical defense supplies?
She immediately looked at the second line, on her guard.
At the very instant her gaze shifted downward.
The figures on the parchment began to writhe in a hair-raising manner.
The words "thirty thousand Galleons," originally written in black ink, suddenly sprouted two tiny ink legs right before her eyes.
The digit "3" let out a faint but clear, mocking shriek, raced from the left side of the receipt to the right, then rolled over on the spot and turned into a bright red "8."
Immediately afterward, all the writing on the parchment came alive.
Every word and amount went mad, frantically scurrying, colliding, and rearranging themselves across the page.
"Venomous Tentacula defensive equipment" turned into "a custom pink pig-hair wig for Minister Fudge" in the blink of an eye.
"Core consumables for the defensive array" was instantly altered to "tickets for all Hogwarts staff and students to tour the Ministry of Magic's sewers."
More frightening still, this uncontrolled chaos spread wildly to the papers in the very depths of the suitcase.
Tens of thousands of parchment sheets suddenly erupted violently from the case.
They flew everywhere in the cramped office, each shimmering with the magical glow of a berserk enchantment.
Every fluttering sheet shimmered with the Weasley Twins' signature prank-magic glow.
The deranged black figures even leaped off the pages, turning into blobs of thick, colored ink that pelted the stunned Umbridge's head and face.
"**No! What the hell is this?!
