The faint light of dawn spilled over the earth. One by one, the sleeping survivors woke from their dreams to face the despair of the apocalypse once more.

After the apocalypse arrived, Lin Qi's body clock generally woke him automatically at around six every morning.

Liu Yan's clear voice played through the loudspeaker on the heavy truck at the front, echoing among the survivors.

When she finished speaking, gentle music began to play, easing the survivors' agitation a little.

The Extraordinary convoy had five vehicles in total.

The two off-road vehicles at the very front belonged to the captain and the Giant Bear Extraordinary.

Behind them followed a small truck, a bus, and the heavy truck carrying supplies.

The bus and small truck belonged to the convoy's third Extraordinary Sequence.

Lin Qi knew little about the Extraordinaries in the group. The Transcendent Squad and the survivors behind them could be said to inhabit two entirely different worlds.

Their sole connecting bridge was Liu Yan, the administrator.

The convoy began moving slowly forward.

Some of the survivors walking numbly at the rear passed through the convoy to the front, clearing obstacles from its path.

Not every survivor in the convoy had the courage to face the supernatural horrors and search for supplies alongside the Extraordinaries.

Some survivors chose to work for the Extraordinaries in exchange for rations that would keep them from starving.

They didn't know what the point of living was, or what would change if they kept holding on like this.

When the apocalypse first broke out, hope still shone in the survivors' eyes.

A week later, after listening to the authorities' empty platitudes, the hope in many people's eyes had begun to fade.

Lin Qi drove his off-road vehicle in the middle of the group.

A bus traveled alongside his vehicle.

On the bus were Teacher Gu and the others from yesterday.

Teacher Gu served as the driver.

Behind the drawn curtains farther back, a few students occasionally pulled them aside to look around.

Compared with the other survivors, the students on the bus were noticeably more energetic. The male students in particular rushed to do everything to protect their female classmates.

Looking at them, Lin Qi seemed to recall his former self.

Just as Lin Qi was about to look away, Yi Xue pulled aside the curtain and poked her cute face out of the window, waving at him happily.

Lin Qi turned to look as a van passed beside him.

Sitting in the van's front passenger seat was the bald man who had extorted him yesterday. He looked at the Leibi in Lin Qi's hand with undisguised scorn.

Seeing Lin Qi look over, the burly bald man drew a finger across his throat. "Kid, stay with the group your whole life if you've got the guts. Otherwise, the next supply run will be the day you die."

The burly bald man made an arrogant, provocative gesture before the van passed the parked off-road vehicle and drove away.

The bald man's threat didn't stir Lin Qi in the slightest. He even felt like laughing a little. "Someone really is in a hurry to get reincarnated. I still haven't got today's fine covered. Let's see how much Ghost Cash you idiots can contribute."

The van drove off. Just as Lin Qi was about to start his vehicle, another mocking voice sounded outside his window. "Oh, if it isn't that loser Lin Qi. Tsk, tsk, tsk."

He actually knew the creature in the driver's seat. She was Huang Li's best friend, and the "little fairy" who often stirred up conflict between the two of them.

Huang Li was still dressed to the nines.

Just then, a blond-haired man poked his head out from the back seat of Bo Gang's sedan. His eyes darted around, and he looked at the Leibi in Lin Qi's hand with scorn. "Hahaha, you damn simp. If you're going to drink Sprite, at least drink the good stuff."

Lin Qi had thought the blond was Huang Li's new man. To his surprise, the blond threw an arm around Bo Gang and kissed her passionately right in front of him, as though no one else were there.

The blond's words didn't get under Lin Qi's skin, but his actions left Lin Qi feeling physically ill.

The blond broke off the passionate kiss almost as soon as it began, then smugly pulled a bottle of Sprite from beneath Bo Gang's backside. "Tsk, tsk. No wonder your girlfriend dumped you. You can't even afford Sprite, you broke-ass loser!"

The blond was about to down the Sprite at lightning speed when Bo Gang reached back and snatched it away. "You can drink it after you've done your bedroom duties tonight!"

Thoroughly disgusted by now, Lin Qi casually tossed the empty Leibi bottle to the blond. "I've got some more unwanted trash here. You can have it all together."

The Leibi bottle flew out of the window. Without another glance at the three scumbags, he floored the accelerator and sped toward the convoy ahead.
