Why were so many wizards afraid of werewolves?

Being bitten by a werewolf and infected into one was not actually the main reason.

Getting bitten by a dog could give you rabies too, but how many wizards were afraid of dogs?

Ultimately, it was because dogs were not strong enough to harm wizards, whereas werewolves were.

Under normal circumstances, an ordinary adult wizard could not defeat a frenzied werewolf.

That was the fundamental reason wizards avoided werewolves like the plague.

And while Little Wolf was not a werewolf, her combat power was even greater than a werewolf's.

Not only did Little Wolf possess a werewolf's powerful physique, but even in her half-wolf form, she could cast Curses like a wizard.
