Ever since she was little, Gege had rarely restricted her from casting Curses. Even Dark Magic that made every Wizard blanch at the mention of it, such as the Killing Curse and Fiendfyre Curse, he had readily taught her.
But there was one Curse that Gege had repeatedly warned her to avoid using whenever possible.
The Cruciatus Curse.
Gege had said that the desire to inflict endless torment upon another person was what most easily twisted one's mind and soul.
So even though she was deeply worried about her friends' safety, she had never once considered casting the Cruciatus Curse.
As for Legilimency?
That was not an easy Curse to succeed with. Most of the time, it was only suitable when there was an overwhelming disparity in strength.
She did not possess the powerful talent of Luna, and one careless mistake could lead to her being misled by the other party's Occlumency and trapped in the Thousand-Layer Pancake Theory.
Even Voldemort, powerful as he was, had been fooled by Snape like an idiot more times than anyone could count.
Compared to that, forcing the answer directly out of the other party's mouth was far more convenient. If that failed, she could always ask Gege or Luna for help later.
