An Unexpected Attack

Greyback made up his mind to leave Hogwarts as soon as possible. He no longer had time to play games and run in circles with that Bei Lang.

But if he wanted to escape quickly, he had to deal with Bei Lang first. Otherwise, if the other party made a commotion and exposed his location, escaping would become much more difficult.

Fortunately, the sudden violent explosion startled the tense Bei Lang. Seizing the instant he lost focus, Greyback burst from his hiding place and launched a surprise attack.

As he ran, Greyback swiftly transformed. His sharp claws slashed toward Little Wolf's neck, leaving three faint streaks in the air.

Seeing the attack coming, Little Wolf pushed off with all four limbs and leapt backward. But because he had been distracted for that brief instant, he lost the initiative and failed to completely evade Greyback's claws.

Blood gushed out, soaking through the clothing over his chest in the blink of an eye. Four vicious wounds appeared across Little Wolf's chest.

Feeling the searing pain in his chest, Little Wolf clenched his teeth, but pained whimpers still leaked from his throat.

His limbs shifted in shape as Little Wolf fully entered combat mode. The muscles around the wounds on his chest contracted and wriggled, slowing the bleeding. Yet the spreading bloodstains on his shirt showed that the wounds had not completely stopped bleeding.

It seemed Wolf Child's self-healing ability was far inferior to a Werewolf's.

Licking the blood from his claws, Greyback's eyes gleamed fiercely at the sweet taste. Yet the sense of danger prickling at his back still forced him to suppress the bloodlust in his heart.
