The True Protagonist Makes a Dazzling Entrance

"Hey? Bell, where have you run off to again? Get back here!"

Hermione looked frazzled as she watched Bell's image on the screen before her. When it came to her boyfriend, who would vanish somewhere the moment she took her eyes off him, she was truly exhausted.

"Right away, right away."

Before his words had even faded, Bell's figure distorted slightly, and then he appeared behind Hermione.

After returning to the room, Bell did not greet Hermione immediately. Instead, he quickly walked to the bedside and bent down to pick up a soft little bundle.

"Good boy, Al. Be good, don't cry."

Bell gently patted the baby's back as he bounced him lightly and walked around the room. Before long, the crying from his arms grew weaker and weaker.

"Ah~!"

Hearing the familiar voice, the baby opened his eyes and, sure enough, saw the person he knew best. The tiny bit of grumpiness from waking up immediately vanished without a trace.

"Haa~!"

Two tender little hands grabbed Bell's cheeks, and a brilliant smile blossomed across the baby's face.

"Hmph! What an ungrateful little brat. I obviously take care of him more often, yet he's still closer to you. I tried soothing him for ages just now, and it was completely useless. The moment you arrived, he stopped crying. It's infuriating."

Hermione glared irritably at the big one and the little one before her. As expected of family—they were both equally irritating.

Of course, though she said that, seeing the baby finally stop crying and break into a smile made the corners of Hermione's mouth rise uncontrollably. The pained look in her eyes gradually faded as well.

"Hahaha! Of course you have to be closer to me, right, little Al?"

"Haa~!"
