Arc 1The Debate and Ordination

Lu Feng survived the Gaqila haunting, brought the temple a chance to extend its influence, and passed the scripture debate despite attempts to sabotage him. He was ordained as Yongzhen and left alone in a locked hall to study its murals, while the Ancient Scroll revealed Malevolent Ghosts gathering at the temple’s burial platform.

  • Lu Feng took a position at Gaqila Tusi’s stronghold, where the Human-Skin Ancient Scroll revealed that the chieftain’s grandmother had become a Malevolent Ghost.
  • Guru Zhuogedunzhu taught Lu Feng a Dharma protector mantra, and Lu Feng helped subdue the haunting before the Ancient Scroll absorbed the ghost’s aura.
  • Lu Feng gathered valuables from Tusi Gaqila’s silver vault and returned to Endless White Pagoda Temple, where Master Zhiyun received his report and prepared him for the scripture debate.
  • While confined to a courtyard, Lu Feng chanted the Six-Syllable Great Brightness Mantra and resisted spiritual attacks as monks from rival factions maneuvered around him.
  • At the Debate Hall, Elder Mingfa tried to claim Lu Feng as his student, but Elder Mingzhi stopped him and Lu Feng resisted the Great Terror seed.
  • When students died during the debate, Lu Feng used his mantra to clear the oppressive atmosphere, then defeated his hostile opponents with scriptural questions.
  • Lu Feng completed the debate, received his Dharma name Yongzhen, and declined the registrar’s post before Zhiyun hurried him through ordination.
  • Zhiyun locked Lu Feng in an ancient hall to study its murals, where Lu Feng opened the Ancient Scroll and saw Malevolent Ghosts crowding the temple’s burial platform.

Arc 2The Journey to Wula

Lu Feng survived a perilous empowerment that rooted Tummo in his body, then left the Endless White Pagoda Temple with Elder Mingli to seek answers and face the dangers of the Secret Dharma Region. The arc ended at Wula Station, where Lu Feng and Zhiquan fought a shape-shifting Malevolent Ghost before Zhiquan warned that it served the Ubao God.

  • Lu Feng used his Kapala rosary and mantras to subdue six Malevolent Ghosts, but his Fire Offering ignited the abandoned mandala and set the Ancient Hall ablaze.
  • Lu Feng chose King Mingzhu as his Yidam, registered at the Scripture Institute, and accepted Elder Mingli as his personal-deity Lama despite the danger of empowerment.
  • The Black Sheep brought Lu Feng a Thangka, and the six eminent monks’ ghosts helped him resist the Black Sheep and awaken the Thangka’s hidden transmission.
  • Elder Mingli took Lu Feng from the Endless White Pagoda Temple to seek guidance from the Ganing Lineage, and Lu Feng endured an empowerment in which the Abbot Dharma Venerable became his true transmitter.
  • Lu Feng gained Tummo and divine strength perfection, then rescued injured attendant monks and helped villagers before the party continued toward Wula Station.
  • A violent storm filled the route with enormous figures and a dragon-type Wild God, forcing Elder Mingli’s party to flee and leaving several monks dead or transformed into Malevolent Ghosts.
  • At Wula Station, Lu Feng saw a figure marked with the Endless White Pagoda Temple emblem, then found Zhiquan resisting a shape-shifting Malevolent Ghost.
  • Lu Feng’s compassion manifested as golden flames that bound and scorched the ghost, but Zhiquan stopped him and warned that it was the Ubao God’s companion deity.
