His dragon scales disappeared, as did his dragon tail, leaving Shane's purely human body in their place.

He was startled once more by the sight of Shane beginning to grow hair and scales, only for them to disappear again moments later.
The differences between his black dragon form, combat form, and human form were being erased.
Previously, there had been clear boundaries when a Zoan Devil Fruit awakened.
But now they were gone. Shane could use all his abilities in any form.
Crucially, the black flames had disappeared too, replaced by white mist!
This meant Shane could freely use the powers belonging to a dragon, just like with the Gum-Gum Fruit.
