As that unknown being underwent apotheosis...
In the interior of the Old World, at the Wizard Council's headquarters, Howenshire.
Howenshire was an enormous city divided into two sections, reputed to be the largest and most prosperous metropolis in the entire world.
Even after the discovery of the New World, this remained universally acknowledged.
The first section of Howenshire was the city situated on the ground.
The city contained more than ten Wizard Towers alone.
The second section of Howenshire was the floating city above the city on the ground.
As the world's only floating city, it was, without question, where the Wizard Council's headquarters stood.
Compared with the numerous Wizard Towers in the city below, only a single Wizard Tower stood in the floating city.
It was the control center of the entire floating city and belonged to the Wizard Speaker.
At that moment, inside the Wizard Tower in the floating city, the Wizard Speaker sat quietly in a chair, silently watching that Divine Fire burn fiercely until it went out.
From beginning to end, this uncrowned king of the Old World showed no surprise, confusion, or any other expression. The Wizard Speaker simply watched the Divine Fire in silence, and even after it went out, remained like a statue, without any expression or movement.
On the Elf Continent.
At the Elf Royal Court, upon the World Tree, the exquisitely beautiful Elf Empress wore an emerald-green robe woven from the World Tree.
When that Divine Fire began burning, the Elf Empress instinctively stroked the World Tree beside her.
Then, like the Wizard Speaker, she silently watched the Divine Fire. Long after it went out, a disdainful scoff rang out from the World Tree.
At the center of the Storm Sea lay an immense whirlpool that stretched beyond sight.
