"Is this Impel Down?" Luffy asked, looking at the enormous wooden doors before him in some confusion.
Lott also looked up at the enormous doors. "This is the world's number one prison, Impel Down."
He had brought Luffy aboard Skybreaker No. 1, successfully reaching Impel Down after three days at sea.
When they were still a few hundred meters from Impel Down, Lott had put the ship into System Space.
Under the cover of the Electromagnetic Barrier, the two stood right out in the open at Impel Down's entrance.
"Lott, your ability really is handy. Let's just fight our way in."
Lott couldn't help punching Luffy on the head. "Use your brain a little, will you? If we can avoid causing a commotion, we should.
"This is the world's number one prison. It'll be a real pain if the World Government finds out."
Luffy clutched the bump on his head, nearly crying from the pain. "Got it."
"Is this the inside of Impel Down?"
The two had slipped inside when the doors opened to let the Marines escort prisoners in.
"Aah!"

Dim rooms surrounded them, with bursts of prisoners' screams coming from inside from time to time.
Hearing those sounds made Luffy's back teeth ache.
"What is all this? Does every prisoner go through this? That's terrifying!"
However foolish he was, he could still guess that those were the sounds prisoners made as the jailers whipped them.
"Lott, let's hurry and find Ace."
"Do you know where Ace is? How are you going to find him?"
Luffy looked confused at that. "Aren't we inside Impel Down? We just need to find Ace now. He's in here."
"Impel Down has six levels in total, and every level is enormous.
"The prisoners on the first level are the weakest.
