Everyone turned toward the voice at the doorway and saw Luffy dart inside.
A long strand of drool still hung from the corner of his mouth.
When he came in and saw the wreckage on the table, his lips drooped again.
"What? You didn't leave a single bite!"
Ace could not resist stepping forward and punching him on the head.
"You brat! All you ever think about is eating! You've eaten more than half our supplies on the way here!"
Luffy sat on the floor, clutching the lump on his head as he protested, "Hey, you ate just as much as I did!"
Ace blushed at that and punched Luffy on the head again. "Not only do you refuse to admit your mistake, you're slandering your big brother! You deserve a beating!"
Another lump promptly appeared on Luffy's head.
Luffy looked at Ace and Lott resentfully. "Sanji's still the best, huh? Whatever I want to eat, he always makes it for me."
Watching the two of them fool around, Lott felt as though everything had returned to those days.
He certainly did not remember Luffy and Ace having personalities like this in the original story.
In the original, Ace was cold on the outside but warm within, a serious person who almost never horsed around or joked.
Luffy was cheerful and carefree, but more perceptive than he seemed.
Now, the two of them acted exactly like young masters spoiled by their parents.
He shook his head and scolded them. "You're both the same!"
Luffy would not stand for that. "Hey! Lott, Ace is slandering me!"
Ace reached out and stretched Luffy's face. "How am I slandering you?"
Luffy stuck his right index and middle fingers into Ace's nostrils. "As the big brother, shouldn't you go easy on your little brother?"
