Atop Onigashima, Kaido turned to look at the Straw Hat boy who had followed him up, feeling somewhat surprised.
"Have you come here to die, Straw Hat?!"
Luffy clasped his hands in front of his chest. "I've come to send you flying!"
Kaido was amused. Apart from Lott, no one in this world had the right to say such a thing.
Before Lott's rise, he had been known as the strongest in single combat, the Strongest Creature on Land, Sea, and Air.
He was not someone any random greenhorn could challenge.
"Wororororo! Give me your name! I don't kill nobodies!"
Luffy said solemnly, "I'm Monkey D. Luffy, the man who's going to become the Pirate King."
Kaido rocked back and forth with laughter as though he had heard the funniest thing in the world.
"Wororororo! What did I just hear? What did you say you wanted to become?"
Luffy repeated, "I'm the man who's going to become the Pirate King!"
"The Pirate King? Do you know what the Pirate King is? This isn't some children's game of make-believe." Kaido looked at Luffy as though he were a three-year-old.
"The Pirate King is the Pirate King! The Pirate King is the freest person in this world!"
Kaido raised an eyebrow. He had not expected words like those to come out of Luffy's mouth.
It was a view he had never heard before.
He froze for a few moments, then laughed again. "The freest person? There's no such thing as freedom in this world."
Luffy had no intention of wasting more words on someone so ignorant.
With a Shave, he appeared before Kaido in an instant.
He raised his hand and punched Kaido right in the face.
The tremendous force sent Kaido flying backward, a mouthful of blood spraying from his mouth.
