Zoro sensed a flying slash heading toward him and quickly turned sideways.
The green-and-white slash skimmed past the tip of his nose, sweeping his moss-green hair to one side.
"Hahahaha, how interesting! Just what I'd expect from the chief swordsman of Lott's Crew. You're alert enough."
Zoro looked toward the voice and saw a square-nosed man in a cap charging toward him with two swords.
It was Kaku, a member of CP9.
He sized up the square-nosed man before him and grinned. "Sneak attacks aren't a swordsman's style!"
"I'm with CP9, an agent of the World Government. To carry out our missions of justice, there's no need to play fair with pirates," Kaku said, flashing his blades.
Zoro could sense many people heading their way. He knew this was a trap aimed at their crew, and judging by Lott's tone, the enemy's main force had yet to arrive.
So he had no intention of wasting too much time on the square-nosed man before him.
He grinned. "If you're going to attack me, you'd better be ready for the consequences!"
With that, he sheathed Silence, drew Wado Ichimonji, and bent forward in a wide stance.
The tremendous force of his push-off blasted a huge crater into the ground.
"One Sword Style: Lion's Song!"
As his words fell, Zoro appeared behind Kaku, while a bloody line opened up across the chest of the man who had been smiling just a moment earlier, running from bottom to top.
Pssht!
Blood gushed wildly from the wound, and Kaku collapsed.
Zoro did not look back. He merely flicked the blood off his blade and said, "Pick a better career in your next life. You're not cut out to be an agent."
With that, he charged into the crowd.
