The spirit's voice went straight into the boy's mind. "I'll... leave this to you."
The straw-hatted boy had already finished his emergency bandaging with strips of torn cloth.
When he stood up, his joints gave a series of **-like cracks.
"Hey, you in the gold."
The boy stared at the armor reflecting the blinding sunlight. "What do you plan to do after you win?"
"Do?"
The armored man spread his arms, his weapons clashing with a symphonic roar. "First, crush you lot. Then make these villagers kill one another-the survivors will join my fleet."
He spat. "That damned shipwreck cost me too many men."
The sea breeze suddenly stopped.
The villagers tightened their grips on their harpoons and oars, their nails digging into their palms.
The straw-hatted boy nodded.
Lightning exploded.
The instant the lightning exploded, the boy was already right in front of the man in golden armor.
He spread his fingers and covered the man's face-before he could react, tremendous force drove his head violently backward!
The deck burst apart with a crash. The burly body plunged headfirst into it, half his golden armor buried in shattered wood.
The boy pulled away and straightened, dusting nonexistent dirt from his palms.
"Interesting."
Hawk-Eyes watched with folded arms, a hint of approval flashing through his eyes.
As expected of someone that man had trained.
Wood chips sprayed everywhere!
The charred figure struggled out of the hole. Before he could roar, with his spear only halfway drawn-
"Thunderbolt."
The boy's lips moved slightly as he turned.
The sky abruptly lit up. A blazing white pillar of electricity as thick as a water vat struck straight down, completely engulfing the golden armor.
The intense light pierced the armor, illuminating the fleeting outline of the skeleton inside.
Silence held for a breath.
