Imperial Palace, underground examination room.
This examination room was quieter than an operating room. The walls were gray-white alloy panels, their surfaces engraved with fine runes that could absorb chakra, spiritual energy, and energy fluctuations of any kind. A specially made examination table stood in the center of the room. Several dark-gold Dragon Vein crystals floated around it, rotating slowly at low power and bathing the entire space in an even, pale-gold glow.
Ryukōshi sat in a chair to the left of the examination table, his golden Sharingan already activated, its eye power suppressed by the runes to its lowest output. Jin Zhiyin sat on the right, his emerald-green Mangekyō turning slowly without actively releasing any techniques. Yōsa and Chengkong stood near the door, temporary sensor patches attached to their arms, having already completed their preliminary scans.
Toyotomi Yinglang stood in front of the examination table, holding a translucent data tablet across which fine runes and parameters flowed. His gaze lingered on the tablet for a long time before he looked up at Ryukōshi and Jin Zhiyin. He did not speak immediately, as though going over the data once more before opening his mouth.
"I understand now."
Tsunade stood diagonally behind him, her arms folded across her chest, her expression still tense.
"What's abnormal about it?"
Toyotomi Yinglang turned the tablet toward her, but did not let her examine it closely. He merely held it in midair so she could see part of the rune structure on it.
"Ryukōshi's left-eye dōjutsu, Heavenly Wrath, can detonate the chakra inside a target simply by looking directly at them. All matter, ninjutsu, and energy within its range are directly annihilated and pulverized. There is no distance limit, and no defense can block it. His right-eye dōjutsu,
