Much less had he imagined that someone would use such a method to forcibly crack a Gnosis's password. Otherwise, he would surely have added password protection to the Gnoses, locking them after five incorrect attempts and preventing any further entries for ten years.
Cracking a password of unknown length, unknown type, and even unknown form was no easy task, even with the Akasha's unimaginable computing power. Moreover, running the Akasha at maximum power consumed an astonishing amount of energy.
The vast quantity of dream energy harvested earlier through the Sabzeruz Festival's cycles was being steadily consumed at a visible rate. At this pace, it would probably be completely exhausted in less than three hours.
If the Akasha failed to crack the Gnosis's password and extract the energy within it during those three hours, they would have to use the backup energy source The Doctor had mentioned. If even that backup source proved insufficient, then the God Project could essentially be declared a failure.
During this time, all the Sages, The Doctor, and Scaramouche could do was wait.
Time passed, and two and a half hours later, the dream energy harvested earlier was nearly depleted, with probably only enough left to last another ten minutes. Yet the Akasha still had not cracked the Gnosis's password. This stretch of time was agonizing for the Sages.
The plan had already come this far. They simply could not accept it failing like this.
