Ch. 101Brought to justice

Raiden Ei exposed the devastating costs of the Vision Hunt Decree and the war against Watatsumi Island, then executed Kujou Takayuki for his role in Inazuma’s crisis. She ended the chapter by lifting the Vision Hunt Decree and ordering the Shogunate Army to halt its operations.

  • Raiden Ei questioned Kujou Sara, who reported that the war had killed 9,527 Shogunate soldiers and wounded 35,426.
  • Kujou Sara revealed civilian losses, destroyed villages, abandoned farmland, and worsening food shortages across Inazuma.
  • Raiden Ei confronted Kujou Takayuki, who begged for his life before accusing the Hiiragi Clan, the Kamisato Clan, and the Shogun of sharing responsibility for Inazuma’s troubles.
  • Raiden Ei executed Kujou Takayuki as the gathered people cheered.
  • Raiden Ei issued an edict lifting the Vision Hunt Decree and ordering an immediate halt to military operations against Watatsumi Island.

Ch. 102The many faces of life

After the Raiden Shogun abolished the Vision Hunt Decree and ended the war, Inazuma’s factions prepared for a tense general assembly at Tenshukaku. Kamisato Ayato suspected the missing Yucheng, Raiden Ei, and Yae Miko were already there planning Inazuma’s future, and the chapter ended with them studying a map together.

  • The Raiden Shogun abolished the Vision Hunt Decree and ended the war, while Kuki Shinobu stopped Arataki Itto from smashing the Visions out of the statue.
  • The Raiden Shogun summoned Inazuma’s officials and Sangonomiya Kokomi and the Resistance’s general to a meeting at Tenshukaku in three days.
  • After hearing what happened at the ceremony, Sangonomiya Kokomi and the Resistance decided they had to attend the meeting.
  • Hiiragi Shinsuke destroyed his records connected to the Fatui, ended Ritou’s oppressive levies, and prepared to bring his illicit gains to the meeting.
  • Kamisato Ayato noticed that Yae Miko and Uchiha Yucheng were missing and guessed they were with the Raiden Shogun in Tenshukaku.
  • Yucheng, Raiden Ei, and Yae Miko sat together in Tenshukaku, studying a map of Inazuma.

Ch. 103A conspiracy in Tenshukaku

Yucheng advised Raiden Ei and Yae Miko on developing Seirai Island and Tsurumi Island, using joint monster-clearing missions to rebuild trust between the Shogunate Army and the Resistance. He also warned them about Scaramouche’s Delusion factory, and they agreed to assign Kujou Sara to deal with it and take charge of the Shogunate Army.

  • Yucheng urged Raiden Ei to eliminate the Thunder Manifestation on Seirai Island and the Golden Wolflord on Tsurumi Island, then proposed using commissions and the Shogunate Army to clear the surrounding monsters.
  • Yucheng explained that soldiers from the Shogunate Army and the Resistance should fight together to ease their mutual hatred, and he teased Raiden Ei and Yae Miko with his explanation of the four kinds of close friends.
  • Yucheng said he planned to settle in Liyue with Shenhe, upsetting Raiden Ei and Yae Miko, who worried about who would handle Inazuma’s problems.
  • Yucheng revealed that Scaramouche, also known as Kunikuzushi, was operating a Delusion factory on Yashiori Island and supplying Delusions to ordinary people in the war.
  • Raiden Ei vowed to cut down Kunikuzushi, and Yucheng proposed destroying the factory and banning Delusions while appointing Kujou Sara to handle the matter and lead the Shogunate Army.

Ch. 104Even a Gnosis can be sold?

Yucheng outlined how Inazuma could address its food and financial crises and reform its government after the war. After discussing Inazuma’s future development and learning that the Fatui sought Ei’s Gnosis, he proposed selling it.

  • Yae Miko warned Raiden Ei and Yucheng that Inazuma’s food reserves would last only six months and that damaged farmland would leave a prolonged food shortage.
  • Yucheng proposed relying on fishing for food, taxing wealthy aristocratic families for money, and paying soldiers and veterans on time.
  • Yucheng said the Kujou Clan and Hiiragi Clan should be removed from their commissions, while Kamisato Ayato could remain if hereditary succession ended; he declined an official post overseeing the commissions.
  • Yucheng argued that Inazuma needed to develop beyond agriculture, fishing, and handicrafts, and explained that La Signora had likely sought Ei’s Gnosis while colluding with Kujou Takayuki and Hiiragi Shinsuke.
  • Yae Miko revealed that she had kept Ei’s Gnosis, and Yucheng suggested selling it to the Fatui for a good price.

Ch. 105A show of force

Yucheng persuaded Raiden Ei and Yae Miko to trade the Gnosis to the Fatui for resources Inazuma needed, while planning to hold La Signora accountable after the deal. As Inazuma’s officials gathered at Tenshukaku under intense pressure, they saw Yucheng seated beside the Shogun, leaving them uncertain of his authority.

  • Yucheng argued that Inazuma should demand grain, Mora, technology, medicine, fertilizer, and skilled workers from Snezhnaya in exchange for the Gnosis, then see La Signora off after the trade.
  • Yucheng, Raiden Ei, and Yae Miko spent three days drafting a lengthy list of demands while officials waited anxiously outside Tenshukaku.
  • Thunderstorms intensified around Inazuma, preventing officials from escaping as they gathered outside Tenshukaku alongside Sangonomiya Kokomi and the Watatsumi delegation.
  • Raiden Ei ordered the officials who could not stand under her mental pressure dismissed and investigated; six visibly corrupt officials were dragged away for interrogation.
  • The remaining officials entered Tenshukaku and found Yucheng seated on Raiden Ei’s left, above Yae Miko in precedence.

Ch. 106Retreating to Advance

The Raiden Shogun confronted the Tri-Commission officials over their betrayal and corruption, while Yucheng silenced anyone who tried to interrupt. Hiiragi Shinsuke surrendered the Hiiragi Clan’s assets and authority to save its bloodline, and left Tenshukaku stripped of power but alive.

  • The Raiden Shogun accused the Tri-Commission of defying her orders and helping plunge Inazuma into war.
  • Yucheng struck Hiiragi Shinsuke with evidence of his collusion with the Fatui, then had Matsubara killed when he protested.
  • The Raiden Shogun confronted Hiiragi Shinsuke with the clan’s exploitation of the people and warned him of Kujou Takayuki’s fate.
  • Hiiragi Shinsuke offered the Hiiragi Clan’s assets to the shogunate, vowed to commit seppuku, and asked that one bloodline be spared.
  • Raiden Ei confiscated the Hiiragi Clan’s assets, removed it from leadership of the Kanjou Commission, and allowed the family to remain in Inazuma City as commoners.
  • Hiiragi Shinsuke left Tenshukaku relieved that the Hiiragi Clan had survived.

Ch. 107An unexpected challenger

The Raiden Shogun stripped the Kujou Clan of its authority and considered who should lead the Tenryou Commission. After Takatsukasa Susumu backed down from her challenge, Kujou Kamaji stepped forward to duel her.

  • The Raiden Shogun stripped the Kujou Clan of its authority, confiscated its property, revoked its noble title, and sentenced its members according to their crimes.
  • The Raiden Shogun appointed Kujou Sara to continue as acting Tenryou Commissioner, but Kujou Sara asked her to withdraw the command.
  • Takatsukasa Susumu argued that Kujou Sara’s family ties made her unsuitable and offered the Takatsukasa Clan for the role.
  • The Raiden Shogun declared that anyone who defeated her in a duel could become Tenryou Commissioner, and Takatsukasa Susumu retreated rather than fight.
  • Kujou Kamaji emerged from the crowd and challenged the Raiden Shogun after a young man had secretly brought him out of prison and questioned whether his blade could bear the Kujou Clan’s legacy.

Ch. 108The Last Chance

Uchiha Yucheng arranged for Kujou Kamaji to receive a chance to prove his loyalty before the Raiden Shogun, despite the Kujou Clan’s impending punishment. At the meeting, Kamaji challenged the Shogun and explained that he wanted to fulfill his duty in his clan’s final moments.

  • Uchiha Yucheng told Kujou Kamaji that the Kujou Clan would lose its authority, assets, and noble status, and that its leader and his immediate family would be executed.
  • Uchiha Yucheng explained that the Shogun had granted Kamaji a chance to live because he had not participated in the crimes and Hiiragi Chisato had pleaded for him.
  • At the meeting in Tenshukaku, the Raiden Shogun pronounced the Kujou Clan’s death sentence and invited anyone who could defeat her to become the new Tenryou Commissioner.
  • Kamaji realized that he could show his loyalty by challenging the Shogun and accepting defeat, then stepped forward to do so.
  • Kamaji admitted that he had failed to act against his father’s wrongdoing and said he wanted to fulfill his duty as a Kujou son; the Shogun accepted his challenge and ordered a blade brought to him.

Ch. 109The capable rise, the unfit fall

The Raiden Shogun settled the Tenryou and Yashiro Commissions’ leadership while ending hereditary succession for Inazuma’s officials. She then confronted Sangonomiya Kokomi over Watatsumi Island’s rebellion, leaving Kokomi silent after questioning whether the war had been worth its cost.

  • Kujou Kamaji lost his duel with the Raiden Shogun, and she spared his life while keeping Sara as Tenryou Commissioner.
  • The Raiden Shogun offered Sara the surname Raiden, then confirmed that the Kamisato Clan would retain control of the Yashiro Commission.
  • The Raiden Shogun ended hereditary succession for all Inazuma officials, and Yucheng stopped a subordinate family head from protesting by making his right hand vanish.
  • Kamisato Ayato pledged the Kamisato Clan’s obedience, and the Raiden Shogun turned to Sangonomiya Kokomi to address Watatsumi Island’s rebellion.
  • Sangonomiya Kokomi said the Resistance had formed to protect people’s ambitions, but fell silent when the Raiden Shogun asked whether the war’s casualties had been worth it.

Ch. 110Regent?!

Raiden Ei accepted responsibility for Inazuma’s turmoil and imposed measures to bring Watatsumi Island under closer Narukami control while promising its people equal treatment. She then appointed Uchiha Yucheng as Regent of Inazuma, leaving the officials stunned by his new authority.

  • Raiden Ei blamed herself for trusting the Tri-Commission, approving the Vision Hunt Decree, and failing to integrate Watatsumi Island after defeating Orobashi.
  • Sangonomiya Kokomi and Watatsumi’s officials knelt and asked Ei to treat their island equally, with Kokomi offering her life in exchange for its people’s future.
  • Ei ordered Tri-Commission branches and Narukami shrines established on Watatsumi, placed its shrine maidens under the Grand Narukami Shrine, and restricted Orobashi worship and its followers’ access to public office.
  • Kokomi accepted Ei’s decree, and Ei ordered Watatsumi’s forces reorganized with the Shogunate Army while assigning Gorou to Sara.
  • Ei revealed that Uchiha Yucheng could withstand her Musou no Hitotachi and had exposed the Tri-Commission’s crimes.
  • Ei appointed Uchiha Yucheng Regent of Inazuma, placing him above the Tri-Commission and second only to herself.

Ch. 111The winds of change swept Inazuma!

The Raiden Shogun appointed Uchiha Yucheng Regent, and he silenced the officials’ objections by displaying his overwhelming power. The meeting ended with sweeping reforms that later generations remembered as a turning point in Inazuma’s history.

  • A Yashiro Commission official challenged Yucheng’s appointment and suggested he earn military merit before taking a high office.
  • Yucheng rejected the proposal and manifested his Susanoo, terrifying the officials as he declared that strength made him fit to rule.
  • The officials withdrew their objections, while some began to suspect that Yucheng was the Raiden Shogun’s illegitimate son.
  • The Raiden Shogun confirmed Yucheng as Regent and granted him the seized Kujou Estate, renamed the Uchiha Estate.
  • The officials left Tenshukaku after reforms that reshaped Inazuma, and later history books named the meeting the Raiden Reforms.

Ch. 112Invitation

Inazuma’s new policies and the seizure of the Kujou and Hiiragi clans’ wealth shocked the nation, while Yucheng advised Raiden Ei on controlling powerful clans. La Signora learned that Inazuma’s recovery had ruined her scheme and received an invitation to talks at Tenshukaku, where she wondered whether she was being summoned over her ties to the fallen clans.

  • Inazuma’s newspapers announced Yucheng’s appointment as Regent, the dissolution of the Kujou and Hiiragi clans, an end to hereditary posts, and Watatsumi Island’s subordination to Narukami Island.
  • Tenryou Commission forces sealed the Kujou and Hiiragi estates and seized wealth worth ten years of Inazuma’s fiscal revenue, angering Raiden Ei.
  • Yucheng cautioned Raiden Ei that powerful clans needed to be kept in check and said the Kamisato Clan should be targeted only when there was an acceptable reason; Ei gave him the clans’ antiques and artworks as a reward.
  • La Signora realized that Inazuma’s new policies had undone her plan to destabilize the nation and use its suffering to force the Electro Archon to surrender her Gnosis.
  • The Regent’s Office invited La Signora to Tenshukaku for talks with Raiden Shogun and Yucheng, and she questioned whether the fallen Kujou and Hiiragi clans had implicated her before deciding that Inazuma would not dare harm her.

Ch. 113The Gnosis Used as a Chess Piece

La Signora arrived at Tenshukaku hoping to secure Inazuma’s Electro Gnosis, only to find Yucheng and the Raiden Shogun playing a board game with it as a piece. Yucheng won the Gnosis from the Shogun and then casually confirmed that he had invited La Signora, despite having forgotten about it.

  • La Signora recalled how Rosalyne’s grief over Rustam’s death had transformed her into the Crimson Witch of Flames before the Tsaritsa gave her Cryo authority and made her a Fatui Harbinger.
  • La Signora considered using a plague to destabilize Inazuma as she traveled to Tenshukaku, where she found Yucheng and the Raiden Shogun playing a board game.
  • La Signora greeted the Shogun and Yucheng, but they ignored her as she recognized the Electro Gnosis being used as a game piece.
  • Yucheng captured the Shogun’s other pieces and won; the Shogun handed him the Gnosis, which he put in his pocket.
  • The Shogun questioned La Signora’s presence, and Yucheng said he had invited her but had forgotten about it.

Ch. 114Washing her hands of everything!

La Signora defended her conduct in Inazuma before the Raiden Shogun and Yucheng, while the Shogun nearly attacked her over her insults and threats. Pressed about the Vision Hunt Decree and the Delusion factory, La Signora denied responsibility and invoked the Shogun’s ideals, leaving the accusations unresolved.

  • La Signora challenged the Raiden Shogun’s right to outrank the Tsaritsa, and the Shogun unleashed her aura until Yucheng stopped her from attacking the envoy.
  • La Signora threatened that harming a Snezhnayan envoy could provoke war, then wondered why the Raiden Shogun’s power exceeded what she had faced from other Archons.
  • Yucheng questioned La Signora about the Fatui’s role in the Vision Hunt Decree, and she admitted dealing with Hiiragi Shinsuke and Kujou Takayuki while denying responsibility for the policy.
  • La Signora explained that the Fatui had bought crystal marrow through official channels and used it to manufacture Delusions in Inazuma for shipment to Snezhnaya.
  • La Signora claimed the people who used Delusions had done so willingly and called their deaths an honor under the Raiden Shogun’s ideals.

Ch. 115Terms of the Gnosis trade

Yucheng and Raiden Ei questioned La Signora about her diplomatic visit, and she claimed Snezhnaya wanted to buy Crystal Marrow and secure safer shipping. After learning Yucheng planned to trade the Electro Gnosis for supplies, La Signora agreed to take Inazuma’s requirements back to Snezhnaya.

  • Yucheng asked La Signora why she had come to Inazuma despite the Sakoku Decree.
  • La Signora said she wanted to negotiate Crystal Marrow exports and safer passage for Snezhnayan ships.
  • Yucheng and Raiden Ei revealed that they intended to sell the Gnosis, and La Signora stopped to ask about the trade.
  • Yucheng showed La Signora a list of supplies Inazuma needed in exchange for the Gnosis.
  • La Signora agreed to return to Snezhnaya and arrange the supplies.

Ch. 116The Harbingers' meeting

The Jester convened the Fatui Harbingers in Snezhnaya to discuss La Signora’s intelligence about Inazuma’s offer to trade its Gnosis for supplies and personnel. The Harbingers approved the transaction, and The Jester ordered preparations to begin.

  • The Harbingers read La Signora’s report that Inazuma’s new Regent had offered to trade the Electro Archon’s Gnosis for requested goods and resources.
  • Childe welcomed the deal, while Pantalone worried about its cost and The Knave offered to supply Inazuma with children from her House of the Hearth.
  • The Doctor, The Captain, and The Knave discussed the difficulty of taking the Gnosis by force, and The Rooster argued for diplomacy and trade.
  • Pantalone confronted Childe over Liyue branch expenses and lost business, but The Jester stopped their argument and called for a vote.
  • The Doctor, The Captain, The Rooster, The Knave, Childe, and The Marionette supported the deal, and Pantalone reluctantly joined them.
  • The Jester ordered Pulcinella, Pantalone, and Arlecchino to prepare Inazuma’s supplies and personnel and send the Fatui’s reply to Rosalyne.

Ch. 117Four Beautiful Subordinates

Yucheng settled into the Uchiha Estate, which served as both his home and the Regent’s Office, while Sara, Kamisato Ayaka, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kuki Shinobu handled much of Inazuma’s government work. Inazuma’s residents came to call the four capable women the Four Regent Princesses.

  • Yucheng moved into the Uchiha Estate and considered changing the practice of housing commission offices in clan estates.
  • Sara stayed at the estate to work on Tenryou Commission affairs and protect Yucheng, while Kamisato Ayaka became his secretary and handled Yashiro Commission affairs.
  • Sangonomiya Kokomi gave up her shrine maiden position, remained on Narukami Island, and took charge of Kanjou Commission documents.
  • Kuki Shinobu declined a civil service post but took on extensive part-time work revising laws, supporting the commissions, and negotiating with the Fatui over the Gnosis.
  • Inazuma’s residents dubbed Sara, Kamisato Ayaka, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kuki Shinobu the Four Regent Princesses.

Ch. 118Why the Sakoku Decree Had Not Been Abolished

Yucheng explained that the Sakoku Decree remained in place because Ei had to overcome the Raiden Shogun’s resistance before she could change the puppet’s laws. With Ei now fighting the Shogun in a consciousness space, Inazuma faced a crisis, and Yucheng asked Lumine and Paimon to seek Miko’s help.

  • Lumine and Paimon reported that Ei had gone to the cave beneath the Grand Narukami Shrine after noticing something wrong with her body during a Rifthound hunt.
  • Yucheng revealed that Ei had secluded herself in the Plane of Euthymia and that the Raiden Shogun was a puppet created to rule Inazuma.
  • Yucheng explained that Ei and the Shogun were fighting over control, because Ei’s changed ideals clashed with the Shogun’s unchanging laws.
  • Yucheng said Ei had to defeat the Shogun to abolish the Sakoku Decree, and that their battle could last for years or even centuries.
  • Kuki Shinobu warned that Inazuma was without the Electro Archon’s protection, and Yucheng urged Lumine and Paimon to find Miko for help.

Ch. 119Makoto's realm of consciousness

Yucheng, Lumine, and Paimon sought Yae Miko’s help to reach Ei in Makoto’s Consciousness Space. Miko prepared to send them into the dangerous realm, and Yucheng created a Shadow Clone to protect them.

  • Yucheng used Kamui to take Lumine and Paimon from Inazuma City to the Grand Narukami Shrine, where they told Yae Miko that Ei had entered a prolonged battle and left Inazuma in Yucheng’s care.
  • Yucheng explained that he could not endure the Consciousness Space’s torrent of time, so Miko led the group to a hidden cavern beneath the shrine.
  • Miko sensed that she could send them to Ei despite being unable to locate the Consciousness Space precisely, and warned them to focus on their wish to avoid being lost.
  • Yucheng created a Shadow Clone with half his strength to protect Lumine and Paimon, and Miko prepared to send the group into the realm.

Ch. 120Miko's lap pillow

Yucheng's Shadow Clone collapsed after enduring the river of time, leaving Yucheng unconscious while Lumine and Paimon reached Ei. He woke with his head on Yae Miko's lap, and the two discussed his identity and the possible power behind Makoto's consciousness space as they waited for Ei to return.

  • Yucheng's Shadow Clone vanished after reaching the end of its lifespan in Makoto's consciousness space, and Yucheng lost consciousness outside the torii.
  • Yae Miko let Yucheng rest on her lap and told him that Lumine and Paimon had reached Ei safely, while his clone had succumbed to the river of time.
  • Yucheng admitted that the clone's collapse made sense after five hundred years, and Yae Miko questioned him about his unusual abilities and origins.
  • Yae Miko said she believed Yucheng was human and accepted that he did not want to explain his past.
  • Yucheng and Yae Miko discussed whether Istaroth or a contingency left by Makoto could explain the Sacred Sakura and Makoto's consciousness space.
  • Yae Miko teased Yucheng for staying on her lap, but he chose to keep resting there while they waited for Ei.
