Wei Xiaoxue curled her lips into a strange, mysterious smile, as though revealing her true feelings. Her originally rather sweet voice abruptly turned low and sinister.
"Who would ever inspect a dead person's dorm?"
The moment she finished, the guests present sucked in a breath of cold air, clearly badly frightened. Bai Qing, especially, nearly squeezed out tears.
Wei Xiaoxue seemed quite satisfied with the effect of her scare, until that voice that gave her such a headache spoke up.
"What are you panicking for? She said, who would ever inspect a four-person dorm." Jian Ran emphasized the pitch of one particular word. "Besides, does this school look like it has enough hands?"
"Any hands that can knock on the door definitely won't be human hands."
"Just don't open it. Problem solved."
Those few simple, casually delivered words blew the terrifying atmosphere away.

The dorm room was easy to find. A couple of turns left and right brought it into view.
Dragging his suitcase at the back of the group, Jian Ran cast a seemingly casual glance at the dorm building's security booth.
There were no lights on inside, just pitch darkness, but there seemed to be... a pair of resentful, sinister eyes staring fixedly out through the dark.
Jian Ran stared for a few seconds, then suddenly felt someone pat the small of his back. The gesture was slightly intimate, and hot breath brushed over him too.
"What are you looking at so intently?"
Jian Ran, instantly thrown completely off balance, said, "..."
"N-nothing. Hurry up and get back to the room to sleep."
