"Xiao Mo... let go of me..."
Chu Xinghui pushed against Pei Hanmo, trying to wriggle out of his arms.
Unfortunately, the person in front of him clung like glue, both arms wrapped tightly around his waist.
They lay on the bed facing each other like that.
"Why should I let go?"
Pei Hanmo did not understand. His grip tightened, and before Chu Xinghui could react, his nose bumped against Pei Hanmo's shoulder.
A faint lemon mint scent drifted around his nose.
Pei Hanmo's pheromones had never been weak, but for some reason, Chu Xinghui had never paid them any attention before. Ever since that confession, however, they kept finding their way into his nose, seemingly by accident or design, their presence impossible to ignore.
He leaned back, holding his breath a little, and frowned:
"What time is it already..."
"I finished all the assignments you gave me yesterday."
"..."
"I finished today's assignments too. I even did two extra practice papers."
"..."
As though he had already anticipated what Chu Xinghui would say, Pei Hanmo spoke first.
The two of them had gone to school a few days earlier to arrange leave for Pei Hanmo, and had assured the school that he would maintain his grades.
Chu Xinghui had been setting all of Pei Hanmo's assignments over the past few days.
Chu Xinghui had originally thought Pei Hanmo would need some time to adjust, but he had not expected him to work through the questions much faster than he had at school.
He wondered whether it was because Pei Hanmo wanted to finish the questions and spend time with him...
It was not just Chu Xinghui overthinking things. The way Pei Hanmo had behaved these past two days made Chu Xinghui wonder whether someone had possessed him.
