Realizing he had misspoken, the director gave two awkward chuckles, stepped forward, and took Pei Hanmo's hand.
"Hanmo, you're here. Is that Chu Xinghui beside you?"
He turned toward Chu Xinghui with a beaming smile.
Sure enough, he was very good-looking, even better than in the photos.
He looked remarkably like the Wen Qinglin the director had envisioned.
"Director Guo, this is Chu Xinghui."
Pei Hanmo took a step back and gently patted Chu Xinghui's shoulder.
"Hello, Director Guo!"
Chu Xinghui immediately bowed a full 120 degrees, nearly knocking his head against the ground. He had never met such a prominent director before, and he seemed quite amiable.
"Hello, hello."
Director Guo took Chu Xinghui's hand and led him into the theater.
A large theater really was different from a small one. There were twice as many staff as at the previous theater, and the props were much more professional too.
Seeing Director Guo enter, the staff nearby immediately stopped what they were doing to greet him.
Director Guo nodded with a smile and explained to Chu Xinghui:
"This little courtyard is your home. Since Wen Qinglin is the opera theater's star attraction, he gets a courtyard of his own.
After your makeup test, you can come here to get a feel for it and familiarize yourself with the atmosphere."
"All right."
Chu Xinghui curiously surveyed the decorations inside. It was very similar to the courtyard he had stayed in on the variety show.
"Your opera instructor will be here this afternoon. For now, let Hanmo introduce you to everyone."
After showing Chu Xinghui the main places he would be using, Director Guo left to attend to other matters.
"Older Brother, I'll introduce you to everyone~"
Pei Hanmo lowered his head, leaned closer to Chu Xinghui, and took his hand,
