To be honest, this book had a pretty rough May. First, there was an emergency at home, and I had to travel far away for several days, so updates were never guaranteed. Then after I got back, I came down with a serious illness. That night, my throat and head hurt so badly I couldn't sleep. It affected me for quite a while afterward, impacting both the quantity and quality of the updates.
The most obvious example was Zhu Zhuqing's storyline. I wasn't good at writing romance to begin with, and with my health affecting me, my head was all foggy. What I wrote ended up far from satisfactory.
Because of all this, I had no backlog saved up. I was basically writing and posting immediately, so everything was rather rushed.
Thankfully, I managed to pull through.
Also, romance scenes are something I still had to write. I wasn't good at them in the first place, and if I didn't write more and practice more, I'd never be able to break through and improve. So please continue to help correct and push me in the future.
I'm out handling something right now and can't get away from it. Luckily, I saved up two chapters over the past couple of days, so I'll post those first when the book goes premium at noon. Once I'm back, I'll try to write and post another three chapters today.
If I can add extra updates over the next few days, I will. After that, as long as no urgent matter requires me to go out, I guarantee three chapters a day.
Barring any accidents,
