Qi Yuan fought the Four-Tails Jinchūriki with Lightning Release Chakra Mode and One-Finger Nukite, then forcibly extracted the Tailed Beast. As his Wood Clone Yanling prepared to leave, a masked figure appeared and stole part of the Four-Tails' power.

Qi Yuan resisted Huanmie's Kotoamatsukami, took the Mangekyō Sharingan from Huanmie and Huanxuan, and unleashed a devastating Wood Release attack across the Huanxuan Realm. As the slaughter spread into Fengmang, Qi Yuan's Rinnegan awakened.

• Huanmie released Kotoamatsukami, but Qi Yuan countered it with the Bringer-of-Darkness Technique and avoided being controlled.

Trapped in Ōtsutsuki Ikeshiki’s weakening barrier, Qi Yuan sealed a miniature Ten-Tails inside himself and began strengthening its power. A Limbo Clone then encountered the bullied Gu Zimei and offered to help her become stronger in exchange for a place to stay.

Yanling, Qi Yuan’s Wood Clone, attacked the Freemasons’ underground headquarters and confronted Yun Ce, Gu Huan, and Zhao Hua. After revealing his interest in Gu Huan’s Rinnegan and Yun Ce’s Mangekyō Sharingan, Yanling declared that he would take their eyes.
