Uchiha Genya expanded the Konoha Military Police Force and used its authority to challenge Konoha’s leadership while recruiting Tsunade and reviving Nawaki. After thwarting Kumogakure’s attempt to seize the Byakugan and Sharingan, Genya left the village’s political tensions unresolved as Hiruzen misread the closeness between Nawaki and Itachi.

• Uchiha Genya strengthened the Police Force by arresting Mitokado Homura, his son, and Asuma Sarutobi, then secured approval to expand the force and took responsibility for protecting Kumogakure’s delegation.
• Genya’s men clashed with Samui and the Kumogakure delegation at Konoha’s gate, and Genya later captured Samui despite Hiruzen Sarutobi’s warnings.
• Genya recruited Tsunade by using Reincarnation Unsealing to revive Nawaki, and Tsunade agreed to lead the Police Force’s medical squad while investigating her brother’s death.
• Genya detected Kumogakure intruders, killed most of Yugito Nii’s squad at his mansion, and left Kushina Uzumaki to guard Yugito while he went to the Hyuga compound.
• The Police Force backed Hyuga Hiashi after a Kumogakure ninja died during an attempted abduction of Hinata, and Genya revealed that he had captured Yugito and killed other attackers.
• Tsunade returned to Konoha as Medical Squad Leader, while Hiruzen failed to persuade her to meet him at the Hokage Building.
• Might Guy led intensive training for more than a hundred Uchiha, and Hiruzen mistook Nawaki and Itachi’s closeness for a bond between their clans.
