Writing this book has been a road full of twists and turns, too.
What I'm actually good at is the cautious-survival path. Whether it was The First Saint of Kunlun or The Female Devil, both naturally headed down that path.
It wasn't something I deliberately set out to write.
By rights, I should have kept writing the cautious-survival path.
At least that would have guaranteed a certain level of success and let me scrape together a living.
But the cautious-survival path already has The Female Devil.
The Female Devil reached a peak that my own abilities can no longer attain.
That kind of success was a masterstroke stumbled upon by chance.
No matter how I write, I can't surpass The Female Devil.
So right now, I'm just a newcomer, writing something a little different.
How it will turn out is entirely unknown.
If it turns out well, that's a masterstroke stumbled upon by chance, with luck still on my side. If it turns out badly, that's simply the extent of my ability, and I can't blame anyone else.
Fortunately, the results so far have been reasonably good.
It's also somewhere in the teens on the new book rankings.
If you all send a few more monthly votes my way, it might even make the top ten.

As for everything else, I'll let nature take its course. Good results aren't something you can force into being.
