The streetlights had never lit up at night before.
But after a genius entered, the lights began to shine.
Though no one knew why, this person was certainly difficult to deal with.
Avoiding him was the best approach.
Unfortunately, he kept taking action everywhere, so he had to be dealt with first.
Old Black had come to see just who this genius was.
He did not think this had anything to do with him. As long as it did not, even being defeated and forced to retreat would be no great matter.
Of course.
He would not lose.
Now, he felt his body brimming with power. Whoever stood before him, he had nothing to fear.
Besides, their cultivation was surely inferior to his.
After all, anyone brought inside would be no higher than the early stage of Return to the Void.
Beyond the early stage, they worried about accidents too, and would avoid bringing in such powerful cultivators.
The more Old Black learned, the more confident he became.
Finding the person so quickly was also within his expectations.
After all, things in the darkness were hard to find, but light within darkness caught the eye most readily.
Soon, he too saw the light at the end of the street.
Faint, yet exceedingly dazzling.
"Good. Let me see just how much weight you carry." Old Black's lips curled slightly, a cold glint flashing through his eyes.
He did not approach rashly. Instead, he stopped and immediately circulated his cultivation.
He struck out with a palm.
He would deliver a palm strike first and worry about the rest later.
Such a fine opportunity for a sneak attack would be a waste to pass up.
At the very least, it would improve his chances of victory.
Moving closer might cost him the initiative.
