Jing Jiu was silent for a while before saying, "Tell me everything you know."
"Unfortunately, my belief that you are the new god does not mean the other priestesses will believe it too, so there are some things I cannot tell you yet."
The priestess straightened and looked at the figure beyond the curtain, saying calmly, "Of course, if you are a god, you should be able to learn all my thoughts with ease."
Jing Jiu could use Two Hearts Communication or the Soul-Searching Technique to acquire the knowledge passed down within this priestess's consciousness, but a scan confirmed that she had cultivated some passive mental secret method. An intrusion would cause problems.
"Are there many people like me in this world?" he asked.
The priestess did not refuse to answer this question. "There have indeed been such people."
Jing Jiu said, "Their names?"
The priestess said apologetically, "I only know they exist, not who they are. And even if I knew, I could not tell you."
Jing Jiu asked, "Why don't you think those people are the new god?"
The priestess said humbly, "Because they are not as powerful as you, and cannot lead humanity in resisting the invasion of darkness. Besides, they have not received recognition."
Jing Jiu continued, "Whose recognition?"
The priestess said, "If the one on the Capital Planet considered them the new god, we priestesses would have been informed. Yet nothing of the sort has happened in hundreds of years."
Jing Jiu knew he could get nothing more out of this priestess, so he turned to leave.
Watching the shifting light and shadow on the curtain, the priestess knew he intended to leave. She bowed her head and prostrated herself once more, without asking him to stay.
Jing Jiu suddenly stopped and asked, "I saw
