Golden Buddha Fire bloomed like lotuses, then gathered into lovely fireballs around the Monk of Joy.
Against the vastness of space, these flames were hardly bright, but with nothing to obstruct them, they could illuminate places quite far away.
The distant dark space was slightly warped. Changes in the gravitational force field were exceptionally clear in his Spiritual World. Combined with the real images illuminated by those faint lights, they formed a concrete picture.
The Monk of Joy took out pen and paper and recorded that picture as quickly as he could.
The warping space produced strange vibrations, which became creaking sounds in the world of consciousness. An enormous black Mother Nest slowly, inexorably emerged over there, then rapidly approached.
The picture grew clearer and clearer.

In the Dark Matter Sea, Mother Nests normally kept their tentacles inside their bodies, and this Darkness Warden was no exception. Things resembling facial features could vaguely be seen on its rounded but not entirely regular body. They might also have been other sensory organs, combining haphazardly into even more unimaginable shapes, then occasionally disappearing into its gray-black surface. In the light of Buddha Fire, it resembled an enormous, hideous head.
This enormous, hideous head was flying toward him at high speed through the dim universe.
Anyone would have felt afraid at such a sight, but the Monk of Joy remained as calm as ever, his pen moving swiftly over the paper.
Humanity had observed Mother Nests extensively, but knew little about the highest-ranking Darkness Wardens,
