The disciple frowned and thought for a moment before saying, "Please follow me!"
Ran Chou nodded, then followed the disciple into Medicine King Hall.
The disciples of Medicine King Hall naturally had their own considerations. Ordinarily, when someone came to visit, they had to report inside first and see whether their elders wished to meet the visitor.
If not, they would naturally refuse to let the visitor in.
But Ran Chou's status was special. He was no ordinary expert, and they dared not leave him waiting here.
They also understood that, for someone of Ran Chou's standing to come in person, the matter was probably no small one.
Precisely because of this, they dared not slight him and led him straight inside.
As for what Ran Chou had to say or intended to do, leaving that to the three Patriarchs certainly could not go wrong.
What a fine place indeed! Ran Chou could not help marveling inwardly as he walked, surveying his surroundings.
This was Ran Chou's first visit to Medicine King Hall. He had never set foot here before.
But before he could marvel for long, his brow involuntarily furrowed.
He looked up toward the Main Hall in the distance. Quite a few people had gathered outside it, and he had already heard the sounds of fighting.
What's going on? Ran Chou felt somewhat puzzled. It sounds like people are fighting. Or are they sparring?
"Is Medicine King Hall holding some sort of contest today?" Ran Chou asked the disciple ahead of him.
"A contest?" The disciple looked puzzled, not quite understanding Ran Chou's words.
"There seem to be people exchanging blows in that Main Hall. Aren't the disciples sparring?" Ran Chou pointed toward the distant Main Hall.
"Impossible. Fighting is forbidden there. No one would dare violate the
