Huang Xiao and his companions faced Fan Zhongkun’s rampage with Inugami, then became entangled with the Sword Pavilion in Qinyang City. Wang Jiu, the long-vanished Saber King, arrived and ordered the Sword Pavilion group to crawl away.

• Liu Zhi confronted Lin Chusheng about his plan to seize the Transcendent Immortal Swordsmanship, and Huang Xiao spared him after learning the Three Forms Fragmentary Sword Manual was gone.
• Fan Zhongkun used Inugami to strengthen himself and slaughtered the Jianghu fighters who pursued him, then chased Huang Xiao’s group.
• Huang Xiao and Eunuch Jin fought Fan Zhongkun until Inugami weakened and Fan regained control of himself, but Yang Hengchang’s arrival let Fan escape.
• Feng Xiaofeng challenged the injured Huang Xiao, who evaded him until Yang Hengchang returned and stopped the fight, then kept Huang Xiao from leaving while awaiting Jiang Liuli.
• Liu Zhi’s group encountered Cheng Duanjin, Xiaolin, and Uncle Wang at a tea shop, where Uncle Wang revealed his strength by injuring Xiang Guiqing and Zhong Tianlang.
• Eunuch Jin identified Uncle Wang as Wang Jiu, the Saber King, and Liu Zhi’s group headed for Qinyang City as Wang Jiu set out to repay Huang Xiao and confront the Sword Pavilion.
• At the Drunken Immortal Wine Shop, Huang Xiao sat beside Yang Hengchang despite Feng Xiaofeng’s objections, and Wang Jiu’s arrival injured Feng Xiaofeng and most of the Jianghu folk.
• Wang Jiu identified himself as the Sword Pavilion’s old enemy, wounded Yang Hengchang with a casual slash, and ordered the Sword Pavilion group to crawl out.

Huang Xiao became entangled in the search for the Phoenix and the Heavenly Evil Sect’s attempt to break the evil mist surrounding Inugami. The Minghong Saber revealed its power against the mist, but an oppressive force struck Huang Xiao, Jiang Liuli, and Fan Zhongkun down.

• Wang Jiu humiliated Yang Hengchang at the Drunken Immortal Wine Shop, and Huang Xiao escaped after mocking the Sword Pavilion, and Yang Hengchang later discovered that his Phoenix Blood was missing.
• Huang Xiao clashed with Hao Jinghai, then escaped as Fan Zhongkun fought over Inugami, and he joined the red-clad Jiang Liuli against the wounded Fan before she rode away.
• Daoxuanzi returned the Phoenix Blood to Huang Xiao and identified the woman as Jiang Liuli, while a crimson blaze over Mist Mountain drew the factions toward the mountain.
• The Heavenly Evil Sect drove captives into Mist Mountain, where Huang Xiao revealed his Half-Step Martial Realm strength to kill pursuers and later escaped Zheng Hu with Jiang Liuli’s help.
• Huang Xiao watched the Heavenly Evil Sect sacrifice captives and disciples to weaken the valley’s evil mist, while Jiang Liuli explained that the Sword Pavilion sought the Phoenix and Tiger Wing.
• Fan Zhongkun attacked Huang Xiao and Jiang Liuli, drove them over a cliff, and pursued them into the valley as Linghu Xiang sent the Heavenly Evil Sect elders after Inugami.
• The Minghong Saber cleared the evil qi around Huang Xiao and Jiang Liuli, but Fan Zhongkun recognized Huang Xiao as the Transcendent Immortal Sword Lord’s successor and attacked again with Inugami.
• Inugami abruptly pulled Fan Zhongkun into a pile of rocks, then an oppressive force knocked Huang Xiao and Fan Zhongkun down and forced Jiang Liuli to her knee.

Huang Xiao seized Tiger Wing and became caught in a battle among rival factions for the Evil Blades and the Phoenix. After the Phoenix’s failed nirvana and Huang Xiao’s meridians shattered, the masked old man took the Phoenix and stayed to help him recover.

• A Young Phoenix appeared beside Tiger Wing, suppressed the blade’s evil qi, and began consuming its spiritual sentience to heal itself.
• Fan Zhongkun killed several Heavenly Evil Sect elders with Inugami, while Linghu Xiang attacked him and Huang Xiao and Jiang Liuli tried to escape the valley.
• As rival factions entered Secluded Valley, the Phoenix attacked Han Chengsang, Geng Jin, and Wu Rusong, and Huang Xiao pulled Tiger Wing free and fought Hao Jinghai and the others.
• Tiger Wing possessed Huang Xiao, but the Minghong Saber restored his senses, and Wang Jiu and Daoxuanzi arrived as the factions resumed fighting over the Phoenix and the Evil Blades.
• Huang Xiao drank the Phoenix Blood, which healed his wounds, and fought on despite its damage to his meridians, while the Phoenix gave him Beast Immortal Grass and tried to recover.
• The Phoenix trapped the Heavenly Evil Sect experts in its flames and attempted nirvana, while Huang Xiao’s Phoenix Blood and the Masked Old Man’s internal power dissolved the Demon-Ghost Blood Curse.
• Huang Xiao’s meridians shattered under the strain of Heavenly Demon True Qi, and the Phoenix’s nirvana failed as Wu Rusong reached for it.
• The masked old man took the Phoenix, drove the rival factions from the valley, and dispersed the Heavenly Demon True Qi inside Huang Xiao as Phoenix Blood began reforging his meridians.

Huang Xiao recovered from Rejuvenation under the Masked Old Man's protection and sought fire to save the Phoenix Egg. His journey drew him into Chen Xiangrong's struggle with the Heavenly Sword Sect and a sword contest against Li Chaoxun, before their departure from Yan Mountain brought fresh pursuit.

• The Masked Old Man helped Huang Xiao complete Rejuvenation, sheltered him during recovery, and taught Wang Jiu and Fan Zhongkun new martial arts.
• The Masked Old Man directed Huang Xiao to join the Heavenly Demon Hall and obtain the complete Heavenly Demon Skill, then entrusted him with the endangered Phoenix Egg.
• Huang Xiao discovered the Phoenix Egg reacted to the Minghong Saber and absorbed Jiang Liuli's sword force, then sought powerful flames to revive it.
• Huang Xiao saved Chen Xiangrong from Lin Jian's ambush and accompanied him to the Yan Mountain Ou Family's sword contest.
