Xuan Yuanjun and his allies tried to stop Jiang Hengdao’s plan, but he trapped them in the Vortex Grand Formation while beginning the final step at the Creation Sect. Zhao Yunhui’s formation and the small Inscribed Formation bought them time, leaving both groups preparing to fight as the passage between worlds began to open.

• The Demon God urged Xuan Yuanjun to sacrifice Zuo Qiu Yi, but Xuan Yuanjun refused and continued preparing to break the Vortex Grand Formation.
• After more than four years, Xuan Yuanjun and his allies activated their Inscribed Grand Formations, only for Jiang Hengdao to reveal he had used them to gather the energy he needed and trap them inside the vortex.
• Xuan Yuanjun set up a small Inscribed Formation containing nine kinds of origin flame and sent Huang Xiao and the others to help Zhao Yunhui disrupt Jiang Hengdao’s formation at the Creation Sect.

Huang Xiao and his allies disrupted Jiang Hengdao’s blood sacrifice and endured the opening of the barrier to a barren Otherworld. As the Otherworldly Aura increasingly suppressed Jiang Hengdao, Xuan Yuanjun and the others kept fighting him, leaving the battle still underway.

• The group joined forces against the Vortex Grand Formation, and Huang Xiao learned to resonate with the pitch-black hole and draw away the essence blood Jiang Hengdao needed.
• Huang Xiao and his allies endured Jiang Hengdao’s counterattacks and used Heaven and Earth Origin Flame to ease the aura’s suppression, but after three days the hole revealed a barren world with little spiritual energy.
• Jiang Hengdao weakened his formation to stop the loss of essence blood, but the barrier between the worlds broke and the resulting aura suppressed everyone as his formation collapsed.
• Huang Xiao shared stored Origin Flame with Xuan Yuanjun, the Demon God, and the elders, who then fought Jiang Hengdao while Huang Xiao’s group waited for a chance to join in.
• Xuan Yuanjun led the fighters in attacking the great hole to expand it and intensify the aura’s effect on Jiang Hengdao, while he and his allies tried to hold Jiang Hengdao off.

Zuo Qiu Yi killed himself to deny Jiang Hengdao his Longevity True Qi but revived with greater power, leaving the others defending him as the great hole in the sky shrank.

• Huang Xiao secretly increased the otherworldly aura through the great hole while Xuan Yuanjun and the others burned essence blood to fight Jiang Hengdao.
• Jiang Hengdao revealed the Ruthlessness Sword as his formation’s core, slit Fu Beiwang's and Zhu Qingquan's throats, and overwhelmed the seniors despite the Divine Beasts supplying essence blood.
• Huang Xiao led the younger fighters against Jiang Hengdao after the seniors fell, seeking to exhaust the Longevity True Qi that suppressed his Ruthlessness Dao backlash.
• Leng Guhan pierced Jiang Hengdao and severed his left arm while holding him back, allowing Zuo Qiu Yi to transfer Longevity True Qi to Huang Xiao and Huo Lian.
