Choza Akimichi had been through many battles, after all, and had considerable mental fortitude. He soon recovered.

He grabbed the Kusanagi Sword by the hilt and found it remarkably comfortable to wield, so he casually slashed at a nearby tower.

Sword light flashed, yet nothing about the tower changed.

Choza Akimichi looked down at the Kusanagi Sword in confusion and thought:

Could this sword be a fake?

But a second later, the tower suddenly changed. Its upper and lower sections began to separate, right where the sword light had flashed past.

Shock immediately spread across Choza Akimichi's face. He stared at the Kusanagi Sword in disbelief, seemingly never having expected such an enormous sword to be so sharp.

At that thought, Choza Akimichi spotted the crawling Anrokuzan, and a wicked smile appeared on his face.

Choza Akimichi leaped high into the air in excitement, gripping the sword in both hands as he brought it down with all his might.

Anrokuzan also noticed Choza Akimichi's unusual movement and hastily raised his Giant Tail to block.

But how could the Giant Tail possibly stand up to the Kusanagi Sword? The instant it touched the blade, it was cut clean in two as though made of paper.

At the sight, Choza Akimichi's delight grew even greater. He gazed at the Kusanagi Sword as though looking at his lover.

Anrokuzan, however, would not be defeated so easily. He immediately recognized the sword, and shock and fury surged within him.

But all of that was secondary. Killing Sara mattered most. As long as he had Ryūmyaku chakra, no one could kill him!

At that thought, Anrokuzan actually ignored his severed tail and crawled toward the Ryūmyaku Tower with all his strength.

Choza Akimichi was still rejoicing when he realized Anrokuzan was trying to escape again.
