The result took everyone by surprise. Susanoo's long blade suddenly changed direction at an extremely tricky angle, bypassing the Nine-Tails' claws and slashing hard into its abdomen.
But it did not cut into the Nine-Tails' body. It merely sent the Nine-Tails flying, knocking it beyond the boundaries of Konoha.
Even so, that alone was enough to demonstrate Susanoo's combat strength: it had sent the Nine-Tails flying single-handedly.
Watching the Nine-Tails get knocked away, the ninja below all looked delighted. Quite a few even recognized Uchiha Fugaku and shouted his name.
The Uchiha Family members were even more excited. They puffed out their chests and held their heads high, shouting their clan head's name even louder.
For a time, Uchiha Fugaku became a household name.
Yet Uchiha Fugaku felt no excitement whatsoever, simply because activating this form was still too much of a strain. His ocular power and chakra were draining rapidly.
Moreover, Susanoo had extremely limited mobility in this form. It could not pursue the Nine-Tails at all and could only serve as a sitting duck.
In the distance, the Nine-Tails stood up again and roared at Susanoo. Instead of charging forward, however, it gathered another Tailed Beast Bomb in front of its mouth, aiming straight at Susanoo's position.
This gave Uchiha Fugaku a terrible fright. His current form could not withstand a Tailed Beast Bomb at all, but if he moved away, Konoha behind him would suffer.
At this thought, Uchiha Fugaku found himself caught in a dilemma.
After some inner struggle, Uchiha Fugaku's expression slowly grew resolute. He braced Susanoo's long blade in front of him, supporting it with both hands, then said to everyone behind him:
"I hope you will treat the Uchiha clansmen kindly from now on!"
