Before I knew it, two years had passed. From the start of Arcanist until now, most of World of Warcraft's story had essentially been completed. The upcoming Mists of Pandaria, the game's level-90 era, probably wouldn't be too long, I estimated. This book wouldn't include expansions such as Warlords of Draenor, Legion, or Battle for Azeroth.

The Mists of Pandaria story wouldn't include a plot like the Siege of Orgrim. I designed it as a springboard, where stories set in other worlds would gradually begin-a link, connecting what came before with what came next.

Pretty much all of 2019-from my last end-of-volume remarks after The Burning Crusade, posted on January 13, 2019, at 22:06:29, to today, December 22, 2019, at 23:30:10-had hurried by. In that year, I only wrote two volumes of Arcanist, which left me deeply ashamed. Updates really were a problem, but often, I had no choice.

Still, this year, I managed to organize a large portion of the other three books planned alongside Azeroth Arcanist. Chronologically, the two stories taking place at the same time as Arcanist on the timeline were "El XXXX" and "Diablo XXXXX," followed by "Blizzard Universe Conclusion," the story after the three books merged into one.

I was something of a longtime Blizzard player. While writing Arcanist, a sudden inspiration led me to write several outlines. These stories were set to share a power system, a universe, and an energy-level framework.

This year, I managed to make those outlines a little more complete, so I finally dared to talk about them.

As for Arcanist's story, I still left some foreshadowing in place. The protagonist, Patrick Cabrolon, still had many secrets, and there was foreshadowing for other quests as well. On that note, I specifically wanted to ask about Anduin Wrynn.
