After Lu Ren left the canyon, he saw prodigies racing in every direction.
He checked their names, but none appeared in the rankings he could inspect, so he did not attack.
The prodigies, however, looked wary when they saw him.
"That's Lu Ren. If I remember right, he once reached first place. Why is he carrying two weapons?"
"Could he have killed a prodigy?"
Three people promptly flew toward Lu Ren and blocked his path, wearing friendly expressions.
Lu Ren looked at the names above their heads: Zhou Quan, Ye Hongqin, and Yun Lin.
"What do you three want?"
Lu Ren asked.
Yun Lin cupped his hands slightly. "Lu Ren, how about forming a team with us?"
"Forming a team?"
Wariness crossed Lu Ren's face. "What do you mean by that?"
"Looks like you've been in seclusion too long. You don't know what's happening. A lot of people are forming teams now!"
Yun Lin said.
"Why form teams?"
Lu Ren asked curiously.
"No matter how strong you are, it's hard to seize points alone without enough intelligence. You have no idea where your opponents rank!"
"Unless you happen to run into a prodigy ranked near you!"
Yun Lin replied.
"I see."
Lu Ren nodded.
"With the four of us together, we'll know the rankings of more prodigies. We've also gathered plenty of intelligence over the years, including a rough list of the particularly formidable ones!"
Yun Lin gave Lu Ren a long look. "If we run into any of them, all we can do is flee!"
"Oh?"
Lu Ren was slightly startled. "Then why did you approach me?"
"You're carrying two weapons on your back. You must have killed a prodigy, so you can't be weak!"
Yun Lin continued.
"All right. Let's form a team!"
Lu Ren nodded in agreement.
