"Lu Ren, you've offended Xue Fan'an. If he learns where your territory is, you know what will happen!"
Qiu Yaoyao spoke bluntly.
Lu Ren looked at Qiu Yaoyao, his expression growing grave. "My lady, how is Xue Fan'an doing?"
"According to our intelligence, Xue Fan'an has been in seclusion, healing ever since his Great Dao Origin was severely damaged. He hasn't shown himself," Qiu Yaoyao said.
She paused, then continued, "Once he recovers, he'll come after you with everything he has. That's the kind of man he is."
"But you needn't worry too much."
Qiu Yaoyao looked at Lu Ren. "You're now a rightful commander of Heaven-Prison Manor. Your standing isn't what it used to be. I—and all of Heaven-Prison Manor—will keep you safe. Blood Heaven Manor won't dare act rashly."
Lu Ren nodded, but he did not let down his guard completely.
After that, Lu Ren began adjusting to his role as commander.
The Ten Thousand Mounds River Region had been peaceful lately, though, with nothing but routine patrols to carry out.
Lu Ren often led patrols toward the South River Region himself, worried that someone might discover the Myriad Heavens Plane.
