It was a massive arena within the Nine Dragon Ancient Sect, used to settle conflicts between disciples of the sect's various lineages.

After developing for so many years, the Nine Dragon Ancient Sect had more than twenty major lineages within it. These lineages were descended from the powerful figures who had once followed the Nine Dragon Martial Emperor in conquering the land. Later, when the Nine Dragon Ancient Sect was founded, they had passed down more than twenty lineages.

The combined population of those lineages numbered over a million.

Because there were too many descendants within those lineages, conflicts were resolved through wager battles. Both sides had to bear the risks. Once the wager battle ended, their grievances would be written off in one stroke. If either side continued pursuing the matter, they would face punishment from the sect.

If conflicts broke out among the more than twenty lineages within the Nine Dragon Ancient Sect and disciples began slaughtering innocents indiscriminately, the consequences would be terrifying.

Lu Ren entered the arena and found that it was enormous. More than a dozen fighting platforms stood in the center, each surrounded by many disciples. On quite a few of them, disciples were already battling fiercely.

The cultivation of these disciples was not particularly high; nearly all of them were below the fifth level of the Origin Venerate Realm.
