Ch. 3581Hun Xian'er Escaped
Chapter Summary: “Hun Xian’er Escaped”
Key Plot Points and Events
- Zhao Xiao is badly injured after Gu Zhongying attacks the guards surrounding Hun Xian’er. Although Gu initially refuses Hun Xian’er’s suggestion that they kill Zhao Xiao, he suddenly loses control of himself and fatally pierces Zhao Xiao’s glabella with a black blade.
- Once his consciousness returns, Gu Zhongying is shocked by what he has done. Accepting that rescuing Hun Xian’er has already made him an enemy of Dou Luo Immortal Lord, he decides to flee with her and also rescue Liu Jiangqing, Liu He’s daughter.
- While Gu Zhongying searches for Liu Jiangqing, Hun Xian’er uses her powerful Immortal Soul to locate Lu Ren, who is imprisoned inside the Dou Luo Immortal Hall. She informs him that she has been rescued and that Gu is saving Liu Jiangqing as well.
- Lu Ren tells Hun Xian’er to escape with Gu Zhongying and go to Floral Heaven to seek Hua Suiyi of the Flower Profound Sect, who can be informed of his predicament.
- Gu Zhongying successfully rescues Liu Jiangqing, and he and the others escape Dou Luo Heaven. Dou Cangfeng orders Dou Zhantian to hunt them down.
- Three years later, Lu Ren remains imprisoned on an altar while continuing to study the mysterious Immortal Dao Scripture engraved on the walls.
- Dou Zhantian brings several formation experts to forcibly extract Lu Ren’s Taixu Immortal Bone. However, the bone releases overwhelming golden power, shattering the formation and severely injuring the experts.
- In frustration, Dou Zhantian kills the failed experts and threatens Lu Ren with harm to Hun Xian’er. Lu Ren reveals that she has already escaped, rendering the threat useless, and defiantly accepts lifelong imprisonment rather than surrendering the Taixu Immortal Bone.
Character Developments
- Gu Zhongying breaks with Dou Luo Immortal Dynasty after realizing that rescuing Hun Xian’er has made him a traitor. Though confused by his sudden killing of Zhao Xiao, he accepts responsibility and commits himself to protecting Hun Xian’er and Liu Jiangqing.
- Hun Xian’er demonstrates extraordinary Immortal Soul power, apparently reaching the Eternal Level despite originating from the Shattered Realm. She becomes an active force in the escape rather than merely someone being rescued.
- Lu Ren remains calm and resolute under imprisonment. He trusts Gu Zhongying and Hun Xian’er, refuses to yield to threats, and uses his captivity to deepen his comprehension of the Immortal Dao Scripture.
- Dou Cangfeng becomes enraged by Gu Zhongying’s betrayal and intensifies efforts to seize Lu Ren’s Taixu Immortal Bone.
- Dou Zhantian is increasingly frustrated by his failures. His inability to defeat Hun Xian’er or extract the Taixu Immortal Bone exposes the limits of the Dou Luo Dynasty’s control.

- Trust and solidarity: Lu Ren trusts Gu Zhongying to protect Hun Xian’er, and the characters cooperate despite the dangers of opposing a powerful immortal dynasty.
- Persistence and inner strength: Lu Ren turns imprisonment into an opportunity for cultivation, while Hun Xian’er’s powerful Immortal Soul allows the group to survive and escape.
