"Hulk smash you!"
Hulk roared and charged, shattering swaths of rock beneath his feet.
A huge green fist came crashing down from above.
Lucian did not meet it head-on. He shifted half a meter sideways, skimming past the fist. It smashed into the rocky shore, sending seawater and broken stone shooting into the sky.
Hulk immediately twisted at the waist and swept his other fist across.
This time, Lucian did not even dodge.
The instant the fist struck his chest, his body suddenly turned intangible.
Hulk felt his arm meet nothing. His entire arm passed straight through Lucian and slammed into the rock wall behind him.
Boom!
Half the rock wall collapsed on the spot.
Lucian became solid again without even changing where he stood.
Hulk looked down at his fist, a trace of confusion flashing in his eyes.
"Fake?"
"Real."
Lucian patted his chest.
"Too bad you can't touch me."
"Hulk can touch!"
Hulk spun around, spreading his arms to cut off both sides of Lucian.
Lucian's psychic power entered his consciousness a step ahead.
A faint disruption slowed Hulk's judgment of distance by half a beat.
Two enormous hands slammed together.
Bang!
There was nothing between his palms but compressed air.
Lucian had already floated above Hulk's head, even tapping his hair lightly with the sole of his shoe.
Hulk reached up to grab him.
Lucian turned intangible again.
Five thick fingers passed through his waist without catching even a scrap of his clothing.
"Roar!"
Hulk was thoroughly enraged.
He smashed both fists into the ground, sending the impact spreading through the rock in every direction. The entire island shook, and rocks along its edges kept sliding into the sea.
Lucian lifted his feet off the ground, and the shock wave swept beneath him.
