Lucian wasted no more words. After checking Pietro's current coordinates, he raised his hand and lightly traced a circle in the air with two fingers.
Whoosh!
Golden sparks burst out again, and a circular portal hovered steadily in the center of the laboratory. On the other side was the aircraft cabin.
Inside the passenger cabin, Coulson, May, Ward, and Skye were gathered around the holographic projection table, heatedly discussing tactics. Several suspicious coordinates were circled in red on the tabletop. They had evidently just narrowed things down to several suspected targets, but were deadlocked because they could not tell which were real.
The portal suddenly opened beside Pietro, startling him as he idly munched on an apple. The apple in his mouth nearly fell to the floor.
"Mr. Lucian?" Coulson hurried over. Looking through the portal, he immediately spotted Fitz and Simmons behind Lucian, and obvious worry and concern appeared on his face.
Fitz and Simmons waved vigorously to Coulson through the portal.
Lucian did not cross the threshold. He simply stood where he was and waved a hand.
Several vials of blue Compound V, sealed in precision temperature-controlled cases, and the two freshly made, oddly shaped prototype detectors floated smoothly through the portal and settled firmly on the conference table in front of Coulson.
"These are benefits Fitz and Simmons secured for you."
Lucian glanced over Coulson's bewildered, uncertain team and said, "The blue stuff is a human enhancement serum. As for the gun beside it, that's the Skrull detector Dr. Banner just made."
Coulson's heart jolted, and he carefully reached out to touch the device that resembled a temperature gun.
"Just aim at a target within thirty meters and pull the trigger. If they're an alien in disguise, the red light on top will come on."
