Lucian's lips twitched, but he did not take up the family topic.
He turned around to face Kurse as he charged toward him.
Having sacrificed himself through the Cursed Runestone, this behemoth had completely ignited the vitality within his body in exchange for nearly inexhaustible brute strength and defense. As long as the flame of life in this shell had not burned out, he was a tireless meat grinder.
Lucian planted his feet and lightly snapped the fingers of his right hand.
Hum!
Golden-red sparks rippled through the air. Hundreds of flying swords wreathed in crimson flames and blue lightning materialized out of thin air, their tips angled downward. They formed a semicircular sword formation, tightly surrounding the charging Kurse.
"Go."
Lucian uttered a single word.
The flying swords shot through the air, their piercing shrieks instantly drowning out the monster's roar. These blades, charged with intense heat and lightning, rained down on Kurse, following him as he ran and stabbing into his flesh without pause.
An ordinary Asgardian warrior, or even the Warriors Three, would have been sliced into minced meat under this barrage.
But Kurse merely shook his head.
The Cursed Stone had completely stripped him of his sense of pain, and the bony armor covering his body was absurdly hard. Amid dense showers of sparks and the sound of shattering metal, most of the flying swords could only leave shallow white scratches on him. Only a few blades wrapped in high-level lightning could pierce half an inch deep, only to be forcibly crushed by his thick muscle fibers a moment later.
Kurse stomped down hard and actually broke through the encirclement under the sky-filling rain of lightning-and-flame swords!
Trailing scorched white smoke all over, the eight-foot monster lunged down at Lucian, ferocity blazing in his eyes.
But
